Every coworker has a hidden talent that can benefit a charity. Please come in, join us and support the children and seniors as well as our community. You will be glad you did. If you have a question ask any of our board officers.
There is now an entertainment committee comprised of Kate and Dan Apenowich, Alan Fleming, Roni Newsome and David Mangold that is responsible for the entertainment in the Lodge. If you have any special requests for the entertainment on Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays please see a member of the committee. It will be appreciated and considered.
A WOTM Fundraiser is being held for a FILLED SOLAR PLANT STAND. Tickets are 6 for $5 and will be drawn on Friday, May 6 at 7:00. Also, an AMERICAN PIE SILENT BAKE AUCTION will be held on May 27 just in time for your Memorial Day get-together. Contributions for the bake auction would be greatly appreciated. See your WOTM Officers to let them know you will bake for the fundraiser. If you have a pie, tart, tartlet, cobbler or cake with fruit specialty---that would be so great! Hey, men can bake, too!
MOTHERS’ DAY celebration at the Lodge on Sunday, May 8 @ 4 PM. A ham has been donated by Mike and Kim. Sides will be provided by the LOOM and WOTM Boards of Officers. Covered dishes to share would be appreciated by those attending. Karaoke will be by Wendy and Denis 5-8. They are new to our Lodge so come and support.
There are 388 homeless students in the Highlands County School District primarily elementary and of younger parents. A wide variety of school supplies, socks, packaged underwear, gently used clothing and shoes are needed. Within the next couple of weeks we will be putting a box out for collection of these items which will be turned over to the Homeless Children and Youth Project in mid-July. This will be a two month community service project. Don’t want to shop? We will do it for you!
The Loom Board of Officers and the WOTM Board of Officers want to thank you for good wishes and support for this year. We are in hope that we will build this Lodge all together. We are only 9 men and 5 women….it takes a village! Over the summer we will be working on getting the lodge spruced up. Hope to have your help with vacuums, mops, buckets, dust cloths and maybe paint & brush!
